Industry Day at the Range

It’s August here at NSSF headquarters in Newtown, Connecticut, and you know what that means for both us and our exhibitors — we are all things 2019 SHOT Show for the next five-plus months. That includes preparations for one of the biggest pre-show events, the 2019 Industry Day at the Range. NSSF is the title sponsor of the event.

As it has in years past, Industry Day will take place at the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club in Boulder City, Nevada, on Monday, Jan. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. — one day before SHOT Show®. Cathy Williams, President of CMG Marketing and owner of the event, tells us that available exhibitor spaces are going quickly and approaching sell-out — range space for ammunition and firearms exhibitors in particular is in short supply — so potential participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible. More than 200 manufacturers and dozens of industry-related groups and organizations exhibited at 2018’s event, which was attended by more than 1,700 outdoor press professionals and retail buyers.

Media members and retail buyers are admitted to Industry Day at the Range by invitation only, and Williams also provided an update on this year’s attendee invitations. “It is important for interested exhibitors to register now, as all exhibitors will begin to submit their media and buyer invitations later this month,” she explained. “Exhibitor registration closes on Sept. 1, 2018, so it’s critical to finalize your arrangements for this event as soon as possible.” Details about exhibiting opportunities and pricing can be found here.

You do not need to be a current SHOT Show exhibitor in order to exhibit at Industry Day, and NSSF encourages all relevant firearms industry members to exhibit at this pre-show event, especially those manufacturers on our waiting list for exhibitor space at SHOT Show. The event provides a unique opportunity to connect your brand in a hands-on, meaningful way with the most important professionals in the outdoor media and the retail buyers making inventory decisions for the coming year.
